So we all know about Mother Earth but have you heard about the Galaxy Girls?

In honor of Caribbean American Month this series features unique Caribbean costumes representing Trinidad and Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Barbados, and Jamaica

One was like the moon. The other like the sea. Two beautiful lonely souls whose friendship seemed to be written in the stars. And when they come together it creates major changes.

My concentration focuses on the how the African American community is portrayed. I plan on showing our positive aspects and defying the black stereotypes. To do this I will have the positive "light" as my focus while discreetly placing the "darkness" of the stereotypes in. This represents the stereotypes becoming a past thing and the community being recognized for what it does right instead of what it does wrong.
